My ongoing battle

The other day Phillip and I were looking at old pictures from 2007-2008. He was very impressed with my progress and how far I have come in this weight loss journey. I know I talk about running, working out and my weight here a lot. You see, I have been struggling with this my whole life. It wasn't something that I started 4 years ago. I have been fighting this battle since I was a little girl. Sometimes or better said, a lot of times I focus on what I have not accomplished in different aspects of my life, rather than focusing on my progress.  It is so nice to have people recognize and tell you how good you are doing. I know this is a battle I will have to fight for the rest of my life. It is okay. I am trying so hard to acquire the tools I need to be triumphant. It feels so nice to be on the right path or at least to be trying as hard as I can.

Phillip has been my backbone and I am very fortunate. He supports me like no other. We are so excited to be done with MRI soon. We want to start running together and train for a marathon. We want to do it together! I am so proud of him too. He has lost 22lbs by eating healthy. He brought his total cholesterol down by 50+ points! He hasn't had time to exercise, but I know he is eager to start running.

I received a message on Facebook this morning from a high school friend who told me I had inspired her to start working out, that my posts have motivated her to get off her bottom and go to the gym. She has lost 10lbs since she started! Sometimes I might annoy people and I can see why. But I know that when I read a post about running, working out and eating healthy it motivates me to do better. I hope my posts do the same.

I saw this picture and it hit right at home:

Focus T25- Alpha Phase completed

I just finished the first phase of T25. I lost 7.4 lbs and 7.5 inches. I can do lots of push ups and spider push ups as well. My arms are getting toned and my obliques are getting a little definition. Working out is so necessary for my sanity, but is also so nice for my self esteem. When I work out I feel so much better about myself. I feel energized and I feel like I can conquer anything that presents itself throughout my day.
Please don't judge my pictures.
I am a little embarrassed to show my gut.

I am so ready for BETA phase. I will give it my all!
